How can we ensure the automatic and offline verification of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance for outsourced and subcontracted professionals in the field, reducing risks and increasing inspection efficiency?

Challenge Description:

The work of outsourced professionals in operational environments requires strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements, such as the presentation of medical clearance certificates (ASO), mandatory training, and other legal documentation. In critical activities, especially in remote areas or areas without connectivity, efficiently and securely ensuring the compliance of these professionals is essential.

Currently, this process requires direct interaction between inspectors and the presented documents, demanding time and multiple checks across different systems. This can impact the agility of inspections, hinder access to consolidated information, and limit the traceability of release records.

This challenge seeks solutions that enable automated verification — including in offline environments — of the documentation compliance of outsourced professionals, providing greater control, security, and efficiency in the field release process.

Solution Requirements

  • Enable automatic verification of OHS compliance (medical clearance, mandatory training, legal requirements) for outsourced professionals.
  • Operate effectively in offline environments, with subsequent data synchronization.
  • Offer fast and objective consultation for inspectors and contract managers, with clear visual indicators of a professional’s clearance status.
  • Send periodic alerts regarding non-compliant professionals in the field to the inspector, manager, and site owner (construction sites, substations, power plants, etc.).
  • Ensure traceability of verifications performed, with generation of auditable records.
  • Be applicable to different operational contexts (construction sites, substations, power plants, etc.).
  • Provide a user-friendly interface for field use by inspectors and managers.
  • Ensure personal data protection in accordance with the LGPD (General Data Protection Law), with access control mechanisms for sensitive information.
  • Identify the location of third-party and subcontracted workers in the field via the system and management reports.
  • Integrate with existing corporate platforms such as Atlas, Integra+, Nexo, and SAP.

Possible Technologies:

Solutions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal identification devices (e.g., smart badges with QR Code, RFID, or NFC).
  • Mobile applications with offline functionality for compliance status verification and updates.
  • IoT solutions or access control systems that associate physical presence with formal clearance.

Business Impacts:

  • Improved productivity in field inspection processes.
  • Greater control and reliability in the clearance of third-party professionals.
  • Strengthened legal and contractual compliance.
  • Full traceability of verifications performed.
  • Reduced rework and enhanced experience for operational teams.

Expected Benefits:

  • Automated and offline verification of third-party OHS compliance.
  • Reduced operational risks and improved governance.
  • Increased efficiency in authorizing professionals for critical activities.
  • Availability of structured data for audits and decision-making.

Deadline: The proposal submission form will be available until August 29, 2025.
