Purpose: Installation of a 1.50 MW floating PV plant in the Boa Esperança reservoir. | Expansion of the use of solar energy in hydroelectric reservoirs under different environmental and technological conditions.

Objectives

Optimize the integration of floating photovoltaics with the hydraulic source, maximizing the integrated results of electricity generation, making a comparison with the floating photovoltaic plant installed in the lake of the Sobradinho-BA hydroelectric plant.

Key Results

  • Technical: Comparison of floating photovoltaic generation in different environmental conditions
  • Strategic: Developing products and methodologies that can be used in the other Lagos Power Plants, increasing generation and reliability through hybrid generation, either at Chesf itself or at other companies in the electricity sector
  • Economic: Increased estimates of the energy security factor and, consequently, of generation demand
