Solution for Monitoring Administrative Proceedings at ANEEL

Sponsor: Filipe Dias de Oliveira
Leader: Anna Paula Rodrigues Sutter

How can we automatically and efficiently track ANEEL’s administrative proceedings after the discontinuation of the push notification system, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to deadlines?

Brief Challenge Description:

We seek a technological solution that enables communication of new updates and documents added to the administrative proceedings being monitored by ANEEL, allowing for automated and continuous tracking—especially after the interruption of the automatic notification (push) system. The current lack of alerts creates operational overload and reduces the ability to anticipate actions required to meet regulatory deadlines.

The solution must allow for the registration of the administrative case number and the assigned internal responsible party to issue personalized alerts whenever there is movement in the case (updates and documents). The solution should not limit the number of administrative cases or internal responsible parties that can be registered.

The solution should leverage technologies that enable personalized alerts for the designated internal responsible party. Additionally, it may incorporate resources such as Artificial Intelligence, system-reading bots, and legal-administrative clipping platforms capable of integrating multiple data sources.

The goal is to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and faster decision-making regarding ongoing regulatory proceedings while strengthening the company’s institutional governance.

Mandatory requirements for the solution:
  • Automated case monitoring: Ability to identify real-time updates in ANEEL’s administrative proceedings.
  • Personalized alert generation: Configurable notifications via email, dashboard, or other channels.

Optional Differentiators (may be considered as advantages):
  • Intelligent document reading: Use of AI to classify, prioritize, and extract relevant information from proceedings.
  • Integration with internal systems: API-based communication with legal and document management systems.
  • Regulatory flexibility: Ability to adapt monitoring to specific agencies such as ANEEL, among others.
  • Analytical reporting: Generation of reports with executive summaries, status updates, and risks associated with each case.

Business Impacts:
  • Regulatory compliance: Reduce risk of penalties due to delays or omissions in administrative proceedings.
  • Operational efficiency: Decrease manual effort and workload on legal and technical teams.
  • Data-driven strategic decisions: Proactive tracking of sensitive matters at ANEEL.
  • Compliance and governance: Enhance control mechanisms and institutional visibility over critical proceedings

Expected Benefits:
  • Reduction in regulatory and legal risks.
  • Lower costs associated with rework and legal contingencies.
  • Faster institutional decision-making.
  • Enhanced institutional reputation before the regulatory agency.
  • Improved internal communication regarding case progress.
