Guy wire tensioning is an essential activity in transmission line maintenance to ensure the mechanical stability of towers, operational safety, and excellence in energy transmission to society. The current procedure employs various tools due to the variability in installations and, particularly, in hardware and different steel cable gauges used in the guy wire assembly. It has been identified that there is a need to improve this process to make it more efficient, precise, and safe, ensuring both structural integrity and worker safety. The new process aims to increase productivity and precision in the correct application of mechanical tension for each guy wire according to the project specifications for each line, along with reducing team exposure to accident risk during execution.
